Software Choices: Photoshop Practice

Today we are practicing making presentation boards for a gallery in Wix for our final portfolio. I began by opening Photoshop

I proceeded to click on File and then clicked on New. A dialog box appeared and I clicked on the Print section and selected "A3" size for my canvas and I used a 300ppi. I also selected a landscape orientation and left my background as a white colour. I clicked create and my white canvas appeared on my workspace.

Next, I selected the text tool in the left hand menu and clicked unto my canvas. I then wrote my title, selected the text, and used my top menu to change the font to Garamond and the size to 60pts. I then went back to the move tool in the left hand menu and moved the text to align how I wanted it to the left. I then went back to my text tool and wrote my sub title, selected the text and used my top menu again to select the Garamond font and change the font size to 36pts. I then went back to my move tool, selected my text and using the grid lines, I lined up my subtitle with my title above.

I created a logo on 'FreeLogoDesign.org' which would be my brand name. I downloaded it as a png. I then went back to photoshop, clicked on file in the top menu and then clicked on open and selected my logo design. I went back to my canvas and clicked on select all, then on edit and clicked on copy, went back to my original canvas and clicked on paste. I wanted to move my logo so i clicked on the move tool and moved it to where I wanted it at the top right corner. I hen clicked on show transform tools and made my logo bigger

I then went to unsplash and downloaded a picture as a jpeg format. This picture is going to be my placeholder until I have completed my project. I then clicked on file, then open and selected the image. I then clicked on select all in my top menu, clicked on edit, and copy and then went to my canvas and pasted it.

I then spent some time describing my concept. I did this by selecting the text tool in the left hand menu and checking that the font was still in Garamond and the size was 24pts. I created lines as I wrote and made sure to space my words correctly so it doesn't run out of the canvas. I aligned my text once completed. I also did a spell check by clicking on edit in the top menu and checking the spelling in the drop down menu.
Once completed, I saved my board as a photoshop file so I can edit when necessary and also saved a copy as a jpeg so I can easily upload it unto my blogger and my website when needed.

Update-
I changed the name of my project so this is now the final board
