Website Feedback & UX Testing

This week we did feedback and UX Testing on our Wix website. We created a google form asking some questions and then embedded it into the navigation bar. We then published our website and shared the website link in order to test each others sites and get feedback.

My live site address is now https://aaeeshabraimoh.wixsite.com/aaeesha-braimoh

These are the questions and the responses I received, I will go through them and make comments. I will also update the website and republish it

I got 5 responses in total

I asked about the design and colour of my homepage first. Although a majority thought it was very good, some still just put 'good' which means there may still be room for some minor changes

The next thing I asked about was my navigation. I clearly have some things to fix seeing as some people chose that it was 'okay'. I checked my navigation and all the buttons work so I think it is the design I have to change as it is hard to see the subpages on the menu bar. I changed that by clicking on the menu ad going to 'design' and changing the 'fill colour' to white so now the subpage in the menu bar is readable

In this question I asked about my social links. Most people just said it was 'good' so I will have to check that as well

For my about page majority thought there was no need for change but some thought I could change the colour and layout so I will do that as well

For my contact page I received positive feedback saying all the necessary information is included and it looked good so I don't think I will need to change that.

For my portfolio and gallery page majority said it was very good but some just said it was good so I may have to change something minor probably in the colour or design because I got good feedback for the functionality and consistency.

For my major project, I got good feedback on it but I do need to clean up some things and make the design neater and upload it again

I got final feedback on the website as a whole. Majority said it was very good but I do need to make some changes to it

I included a text box for more detailed comments on what I need to change and now I know the specifics of what needs to be done.
The first comment says I need to change the text button on the portfolio page and the colour for the submenu texts. Because of this comment I noticed that when clicking on the button leading to my major project (SolarHaven Home) some of the text disappears and now I have fixed that. I also fixed the problem with the subpage texts earlier on in the previous feedback and now they can be clearly seen

The second comment talks about spelling errors which I noticed in my design boards and will correct them as well when I am editing my design boards
The third comment says to change the colour of certain texts. I already changed the colour of the text and background in the subpage bar and I think that was the only thing that was not readable
The fourth comment says to change the colour of the bottom navigation but I like the colour and it is readable so I don't think I will edit that
The fifth comment talks about the link to my Instagram. The Instagram is a private account therefore the viewer cannot see it if they click on it. I want to keep the Instagram account private so I decided to remove it as part of my social links only keeping the link to my Blogger account. After deleting the Instagram link, I adjusted my Blogger icon to the middle as well.

All additional comments were quite positive so there is nothing else I have to change in my project design and website layout

The last question was about the mobile view. They all said it looks okay and the navigation worked properly but I have to reduce the writing on my about page as it is too long. I shortened my writing on my about and checked the mobile view and now it looks so much better and is not as lengthy as it was

After editing some parts of my website, I saved it and uploaded it again and now it is suitable for viewing
