Design Boards: Process

This post will show the steps taken to create my design boards for my portfolio. This is for my materials and sustainability board.

I created my boards using Photoshop. I started by opening a blank canvas of A4 sheet size and in landscape orientation

I then placed a background design that I got from Pexels on to the sheet. I did this by selecting my background image, clicking on 'Edit' then on 'Copy', then went to my blank canvas and clicked on 'paste'. This will be the background for my writings and images for my design boards

I then typed the name of my project, Floralis Hall, in the font style 'minion pro' and a font size of 48. I also remembered to add my logo design from last term so I copied and pasted it on my canvas as well

After that I wrote the title of my design board which was materials and sustainability. This was in the same font to show consistency and in font size 30

I then started to add my image and writings as well. I selected an image I had downloaded of my material, opened it in photoshop and clicked on 'select' in the top menu. I then copied it, went to my canvas and pasted it. Using the 'move' and 'transform' tool I adjusted the image to the size I was comfortable with

I typed my information by creating a text box with the 'text' tool so my writing would fit within the space I typed. I also clicked on left alignment and font size 18

I repeated this process for my other materials as shown below

Here are all my final design boards which are posted on my website
